Isanti County Burglars Found
Weeks after multiple churches and businesses were broken into in Isanti County, the perpetrators have been taken into custody.
Three churches including New Beginnings in Cambridge were broken into in late June, with property destroyed and stolen.
After giving full confessions, Danny Carl Croon Jr. and Robert William Noonan were charged with 2nd degree burglary as well as 1st degree criminal damage to property.
A third suspect was interviewed and released.
Many of the stolen items have been recovered and returned.
Vandalism in Cambridge
A resort on a local lake was vandalized early Monday morning.
Manke’s Resort on Spectacle Lake near Cambridge was hit by vandals who used spray paint to deface buildings and signs on the property.
The Isanti County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crime, and is asking anyone with information on the vandalism to call them at 763-689-2141.
The resort is offering a $1000 reward for the conviction of the individuals involved in the crime.
Picnic at Firstlight
A free community picnic is being held tonight in Mora.
Firstlight Health System in Mora is hosting the picnic tonight from 5-6:30.
Sandwiches, salad, chips, and drinks will be provided with no cost.
Overturned Semi near Rush City
A semi that was overturned near Rush City caused massive backups yesterday afternoon.
The Chisago County Sheriff's department, Minnesota State Patrol, and Lakes Region EMS all responded to the scene.
Traffic was pressed down to one lane at the beginning stages of rush hour of Interstate 35 northbound.
There has been no information on potential injuries or cause of the crash yet.
