Pine County Sheriff Nelson Lends Support for Neighborhood Watch Groups
Rumblings of the want for neighborhood watch programs in Pine County have the support of local law enforcement.
Pine County Sheriff Jeff Nelson voiced his support of those in the community a local branch of the Neighborhood Watch Association, and that while a formal group would be best, any sharing of information is beneficial.
Those interested in starting a Neighborhood Watch Program in a Pine County city or township should call the Sheriff’s Office at (320)629-8380.
Discover Pine at PTCC
Pine Technical and Community College is hosting “Discover Pine” this week, for those who want a closer look at the school.
The college will hold a Business Transfer Pathway and Associate of Arts Information Session.
There will also be a tour of the campus, program advisers will be available, and more.
It’s still possible to join classes at the school in this month as well.
Discover Pine will be held from 1-3 pm this Wednesday at Pine Tech and Community College.

An event spanning from Chisago County all the way up Highway 61 to Carlton County is this weekend.
The Old Highway 61 Junk and Treasure sale is an opportunity to explore East Central Minnesota while shopping for potential great finds as well.
The sale will be in Chisago, Pine, and Carlton counties.
The Old Highway 61 Junk and Treasure sale is October 5th through the 7th.
