New updates have rolled in concerning the potential threat against the Cambridge-Isanti School District today.
At the late afternoon press conference with school officials and law enforcement, it was determined that there was indeed no credible threat against the school district on February 28th. The rumored threat against the schools originated on the social media platform Snapchat according to Cambridge-Isanti School District Superintendent Dr. Ray Queener.
Queener also said that a partnership was put to task in the investigation that included the BCA, FBI, Isanti County Sheriff's Office, and Cambridge Police Department.
"The safety of our students is our number one priority and we acted accordingly today with caution, great care, and concern from all who were involved in this successful partnership. We are looking forward to getting our students and staff back in our schools tomorrow so learning can resume."
At this time, there are no known safety concerns to the school district. Parents who choose to keep their children home tomorrow will have those children given excused absences.
