Pine City Schools are jumping into the future with a new alert system.

In the near future, the district will implement a SchoolMessenger system that will send texts about events, closings, safety alerts, and more.

The system comes as an effort to keep parents informed and updated on school happenings.

Parents will have the option to opt in or out of the program, which does not have a roll out date set.
