A 42-year-old Mora woman is dead following a head-on collision involving a car and semi.
According to the MN State Patrol, the crash occurred on Monday, June 10, south of Mora on Highway 65 at 160th Ave.
A Chevrolet classic driven by Stacy Gariepy was traveling northbound on Highway 65 when her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a Peterbilt semi tractor traveling southbound.
Gariepy was declared dead at the scene.
The crash caused the semi to overturn and come to rest in the ditch, and the driver was later taken to Mora Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The crash caused Highway 65 to be closed for several hours.
