A Year has Passed Since Deer Hunter Went Missing in Nemadji Forest

It has been a year since David Lee Peltier disappeared in the Nemadji State Forest while deer hunting during opening weekend.

The 59-year-old was hunting in the Belden, Minnesota area along the Gandy Dancer Trail on Saturday, November 3, 2018, when he failed to return his hunting party's cabin.

With the State's rifle deer hunting season opening this Saturday, the Pine County Sheriff's Office is asking people hunting in the Nemadji to keep an eye out.

"It would be awesome if we could give the [Peltier] family answers and sort through the answers that we can from a recovery," said Pine County Sheriff Jeff Nelson.

Anyone with information on David's disappearance is asked to contact the Pine County Sheriff's Office at 320-629-8380.
