PINE CITY, MN— The Pine City Heritage Players have announced the next "Songs of the Stage" event for Sunday, December 8th at 4:00 PM at the Pine City Pizza Pub. The theme for this event “Holly Jolly Christmas” will showcase a variety of talented singers to share many of the favorite Christmas songs from throughout the decades.
In previous year’s the Heritage Players have hosted the December event on the same day as Holiday Madness. After feedback from our performers and guests, changes were made this year for a more family-friendly event to take place the day after Holiday Madness. “The hustle and bustle of the Holiday Madness activities made for a very full day of shopping, parade watching, and performing,” said last year’s coordinator Cassandra Olson. “This year we hope that a Sunday afternoon event will allow more performers to take part in the event as well as see more families coming out to enjoy an afternoon together.”
The ‘Holly Jolly Christmas’ event will include a number of new features this year in addition to the traditional music. “We will be adding activities for kids, a Christmas photo booth and we are also excited to have a special guest joining us all the way from the North Pole, Santa Claus,” said Nick Basta, one of the coordinators of this year’s event. “We are excited to be hosting an event that the whole family will enjoy coming to.”
Tickets are on sale now at Cabin Coffee’s and Three Twenty Brewing Co. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
The “Songs of the Stage” performances are held 2-3 times per year as a fundraising event for the enrichment and senior scholarship program started in 2018 to honor former board member, Harvey Lindstrom.
