TreeHouse Sandstone is holding one of its major fundraisers of the year this Saturday with its 8th annual Shoot for Hope event.
TreeHouse's Sandstone location was opened in 2014. Its goal is to offer support to teens who are in need of support.
"We are specifically focused on ending hopelessness here in Pine County," Area Director Michael Joneson told WCMP. "It is our mission so that every teen can be filled with the living hope of Jesus, so we can unleash their potential in their lives and in our community as well."
They do this by offering weekly groups that provide support and safe places for teens while they work on themselves.
Shoot for Hope is a yearly sporting clays tournament held at Wings North where shooters and teams will compete against 100 clay targets. There will be prizes for both the best individual shooter and the best team. Following the tournament, there will be a banquet held at the Evangelical Free Church in Pine City, where there will be live and silent auctions.
If you are unable to attend but still want to support TreeHouse Sandstone, you can donate through their website or by texting "Sandstone" to 41-444.
The event is $140 a shooter. Registration can be done paid online or on the day of the event. Registration starts at 10:45 a.m., with the tournament starting at noon on Saturday, July 17.
WCMP got a chance to chat with Michael Joneson about Shoot for Hope before the event. You can listen to that conversation below.
