Aitkin County plane crash sends three to hospital

A plane crash in Aitkin County sent three to the hospital on Sunday evening.
According to a news release from the Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office, first responders were dispatched after a plane crash was reported near the McGregor Airport just before 4:30 p.m.
The three occupants of the plane were transported to the hospital for treatment, with one passenger being airlifted. All three are in stable condition.
The three occupants of the plane were identified as Kaden Brazinsky, 23, of
Ham Lake; Wyatt Sherry, 22, of New Richmond; and Jocelyn Erlandson, 23, of
Ham Lake.
The initial investigation indicates that the plane lost power shortly after takeoff and went down in a swampy area short of the runway when attempting to return to the airport.
