A personal injury lawyer is facing charges after he allegedly struck a construction worker on I-35 near Hinckley.
According to the report, James Carey was traveling north on I-35, near milepost 182, when he struck a 27-year-old construction worker.
The construction worker was transported to Essentia Hospital in Sandstone with non-life-threatening injuries. Carey reportedly did not stop after striking the worker and continued north. He was later stopped and taken into custody near Moose Lake.
Carey is the President and Managing Partner for the firm SiebenCarey.
As of Monday, he was being held in the Pine County Jail for fourth-degree DWI and failing to stop for a collision.
