The regular season is over and the new season has begun! Here is where each team sits in the playoff seedings.
Braham 10-15
QRF Ranking 83rd in State 7th in Section 5A East
The Bombers ended up with the 7th seed in Section 5A and will take on #10 Onamia at home on Monday night. If they are able to pick up the win they would travel to #2 East Central on Thursday night.
East Central 19-7
QRF Ranking 37th in State 2nd in Section 5A East
The Eagles finished with a great record and earned the #2 seed and were barely behind the #1 seed Cromwell-Wright. They get a matchup against the winner of #7 Braham or #10 Onamia. Their first game will be at home on Thursday night.
Hinckley-Finlayson 11-14
QRF Ranking 61st in State 4th in Section 5A East
The Jaguars are the #4 seed and avoided having to play in Monday's play-in round. They will take on the winner between #5 Barnum and #12 Ogilvie Thursday night at home.
Pine City 24-2
QRF Ranking 23rd in State 7th in Section 6AA
Pine City has enjoyed a great season. They are Great River Conference Champions for the 3rd year in a row. Unfortunately for the Dragons they are in a very tough conference that hosts seven teams in the top 25 in the state. They are the #7 seed and will host #10 Milaca. They defeated Milaca 76-60 in their lone matchup this season.
Mora 19-7
QRF Ranking 21st in State 6th in Section 6AA
The Mustangs have had a great season and finished as Granite Ridge Conference Champions. They went 9-2 in section play and hold the #6 seed. They will host the #11 seed Spectrum. Those two teams did not play this season. They will meet for the first time on Thursday.
Rush City 11-13
QRF Ranking 88th in State 13th in Section 6AA
North Branch 5-21
QRF Ranking 58th in State 7th in Section 7AAA
The Vikings were able to get out of last place in the section and grabbed the #7 seed. They will travel to #2 Hermantown on Wednesday.
Cambridge-Isanti 22-4
QRF Ranking 18th in State 2nd in Section 7AAAA
The Bluejackets have been one of the top teams in class AAAA all year. The section seedings aren't official yet but it looks like they will have the #2 seed and host a first round game.
