Dragons Baseball Ends Regular Season on High Note

Pine City wrapped up their regular season with a game against Duluth Marshall.

Pine City 8

Duluth Marshall 1

Nick Plasek got the start on the mound for Pine City. After walking the first batter Plasek would grab two strikeouts to end the 1st inning. The Dragons scored a run early and held a 1-0 lead. The Hilltoppers were in a good spot to tie the game and maybe even take the lead. They had two runners on both in scoring position with no outs. Plasek would help his team in the best way possible. He would strike out three straight batters to get out of the inning without surrendering a run. This seemingly provided a huge spark, as in the 4th inning the Dragons would see five runs come across the board. Giving them a 6-0 lead. Duluth Marshall wouldn't be held scoreless though, as they were able to score their lone run of the game in the 5th. Pine City saw their run and scored two of their own providing them a 7 run lead. Ryan Plasek came in for Nick in the 6th inning. He pitched two scoreless innings and helped bring the Dragons victory.

Nick Plasek pitched 5 innings and struck out 7 batters, meanwhile Ryan pitched 2 innings with 1 strikeout.

The Dragons end their regular season at 13-5, and now wait to see where and who they'll be playing in the section playoffs on Tuesday.
