Pine County 4-H member Owen Johnson has been selected as a 2025-2026 Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassador.
Johnson, a 12th-grader from Hinckley, has participated in 4-H for eight years.
According to a news release from extension educator Sarah Odendahl, Johnson will represent Pine County as one of 27 youth leaders from across the state chosen for the role.
He started serving as an agriculture ambassador on Oct. 1, and will continue through September of 2026.
The release states that 4-H Agriculture Ambassadors will participate in a variety of statewide and local events throughout the year, including Farmfest, the Women in Agriculture Leadership Conference, Minnesota Ag Day Gala, and the Minnesota State Fair.
They’ll also help lead educational programs, such as the 4-H and FFA Crop Scouting
