The Pine County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of trespassers at the Pine City Elementary School on Wednesday night.
According to an update from the sheriff's office, a resident reported seeing two juveniles enter the school at 9:55 p.m.
Deputies responded and completed a comprehensive search of the building. The trespassers had fled the scene prior to law enforcement's arrival.
The school was found to be safe, and the investigation is ongoing.
