Pine County Sheriff's Office: Missing Hinckley woman last seen in Askov area

Pine County Sheriff Jeff Nelson shared an update on the search for a missing 85-year-old Hinckley woman on Thursday morning.

According to Nelson, the sheriff's office has confirmed that Juanita Rosa was last seen in the Askov area on Aug. 4, the day she was reported as missing.

"So now we have a confirmation that she was driving her white car up toward the northern part of our county," Nelson said. "So that kind of expands, or defines — it's still hard when someone is as mobile as they are in a vehicle, that we should be putting more efforts into that northeast area."

Rosa is described as five-foot-two and weighing 100 pounds, with long white hair and blue eyes. Her vehicle is a pearl white 2011 Buick Lacrosse, with a Minnesota license plate reading NBS-800.

Nelson encouraged property owners who "may have thought they were too far away" to look for Rosa or her vehicle on their properties.

"If you haven't been up there or know a neighbor who hasn't, now I would ask that people up there take some time and look around a little closer, perhaps," Nelson said.

Anyone with information about Rosa's whereabouts is asked to contact the Pine County Sheriff's Office.

"Even if you don't think your property is in play, and you have a video system, please go out and review that," Nelson said.
