Former Pine City High School graduate and Cushing, Wisconsin resident Ryan Anderson took home his fourth John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon win Tuesday afternoon.
The musher traveled the 300-mile trek in 2 days, 6 hours, 26 minutes, and 50 seconds. He finished around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, about an hour before second-place finisher Wade Marrs.
Anderson is now one of only three mushers who have taken home four, first place wins in the marathon - winning in 2011, 2015, and 2017.
Anderson graduated from Pine City High School in 1999 and currently lives in Cushing with his wife, two kids, and 35 dogs.
