A 66-year-old Minnesota woman is dead following a motorcycle crash in Burnett County Saturday.
According to law enforcement, responders were called to the intersection of State Highway 35 and Hayden Lake Road around 3:37 p.m., with the report of a motorcycle striking a pickup truck. It is reported that the truck was stopped while waiting to make a left turn when the motorcycle struck it from behind.
The woman was driving north on Highway 35 and was waving to other motorcycles that were traveling southbound when she noticed the pickup truck. She attempted to brake but was unable to stop in time.
Despite life-saving efforts, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
