Rarick: Teachers Union Holds own Interests Above Students

Jason Rarick who represents parts of Pine and Kanabec Counties at the state level gave an update on last year’s session and looking forward.

Rarick didn’t mince words when it came to his thoughts on the teachers union in Minnesota.

He admitted that the house and senate could have bonded their ideas better as well.

Jason Rarick has served in the House of Representatives since winning district 11B in 2014.

Isanti County Confiscation

Isanti County just released info on confiscated items from the government center, and the results are surprising.

Between May 1st and July 31st, 281 knives, 57 hazardous items, and 2 guns were taken by front door security.

Roughly 500 people go through the doors to the center every day, and between 126,000 and 130,000 go through per year.

Music and Art Festival

The Music and Art Festival in Rush City is coming up, and they’re looking for volunteers.

The Festival is Saturday, August 19th at the Chisago County Fairgrounds.

It features kids’ activities, a car show, and live performances.

Cornfeed Event

A Pine City church is hosting a brand new event this year.

The community is invited to join Zion Lutheran Church for the 1st Annual Cornfeed event on Saturday, August 19th from 4:30 – 7:00PM.
