Design Finalists Announced for Pine City Street Banners

The submission period for the redesign of Pine City’s street banners has closed, and two finalists are in place.

The two designs in the final process have been approved by the committee, and could potentially be combined to make one.

One design depicts relevant local objects, and the other displays the word “welcome” prominently.

Pine City Administrator Ken Cammilleri explained the two banners.

A final design will be released in the coming months.

Moose Lake Construction Complete

A vast construction project in the Moose Lake area has finally reached completion.

The 7.5 million dollar project covered resurfacing highways 27, 73, and 289, including a new roundabout set in place on county road 10.

On top of that, new bike lanes were added throughout the area, as well as improvements in drainage as well.

Moose Lake Mayor Ted Shaw said that the project was a quote “big plus for the community”.

Isanti Fire District Hiring

The Isanti Fire District is currently looking for fresh faces to add to its staff.

The district is looking for paid-on-call firefighters and first responders for the region.

Applicants for the position have to be 18 and live within 6 minutes of one of the 3 fire stations.

Pine County Sheriff's Office Halloween Treats

The Pine County Sheriff’s Office is giving away free treats to kids this Halloween.

Available at all three of their locations between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm October 30 and 31st, the giveaway requires the child to be present.

The Sheriff’s Office wishes kids a safe and happy Halloween.
