Braham Woman Charged with Throwing Infant, Causing Death


A Braham woman is facing charges after law enforcement investigated and say she threw her infant child in a crib on purpose that lead to his death.

The report states that 24-year-old Shy Ann Hentges of Braham is being charged with second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter.

The Isanti County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) investigated the death of that infant that occurred April 5th of 2017.

The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office is calling the death a homicide, stating that the child died of blunt force head injuries.

If found guilty, Hentges would face up to 55 years in prison.
