Fatal Crash Near Cambridge Kills Zimmerman Woman

After the lowest number of traffic deaths statewide since 1943, 2018 is not off to a promising start.

Yesterday a multi-car collision ended in the death of a Zimmerman woman who was driving near Bradford Township, south of Cambridge. The fatal crash is the third fatal car accident to occur near Bradford Township in the last 10 days.

55-year-old Diane Langenbach was killed Monday morning in an accident at County Road 5 and Holly Drive NW in Bradford Township.

According to witnesses a pickup truck was out of control on Highway 5, slid into oncoming traffic and struck Langenbach's van. The truck then careened into an SUV, causing minor injuries to one of the passengers, a 7-year-old, who was then treated at Cambridge Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation.
