Ogilvie Public Schools students raised twice the funds that they were expected to for Pennies for Patients in February.
In total, Ogilvie students raised over $1600 for the campaign, which took place over the course of two weeks. Originally, the students were given the goal of coming up with $800 but ended up doubling those expectations.
The junior class alone were able to donate $600 towards the cause, hosted by the National Honor Society through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
