Rarick: New Bill Would Fund Area Roads

The Minnesota House is currently prioritizing road and bridge needs once again this session.

The House recently unveiled a new $385 million plan towards roads and bridges across the state, without raising taxes. Pine City Representative Jason Rarick said the new commitment is vital to East Central Minnesota.

“It'll increase the amount that will go to small cities. That's great for our area. Just a bunch of money going into roads and bridges. It's going to help the whole state; I'm really happy that we recommitted to our roads and bridges."

Most importantly, the bill would send the funds to cities with less than 5,000 residents, benefiting every town in the district. Rarick was a part of legislation last year that invested billions into transportation without a tax increase.
