Today is your last day to file to run for the Pine City School Board election.
Candidates will be running for one of three available seats, and at least eight people have filed to run.
Serving on the school board is more than just serving Pine City Schools as board members will make on impact on the surrounding community.
Superintendent Annette Freiheit said, "People should run because they have an interest in how things are run at the school. It also provides them an opportunity to serve the school district as well as the community."
The school district office closes at 5 p.m., there is a filing fee of $2. The election of the school board will take place on November 6th.
