Fairview Clinics are Offering Immunizations at No Cost

Fairview Clinics are offering immunizations to students at no cost. The immunizations are part of the No Shots No School program started by Park Nicollet Health Services.

It is Minnesota State law that children must be immunized or have a written proof of exemption in order to start school.

While Pine City Public Schools does not hold back children who do not meet requirements. Pine City Public School Superintendent Annette Frieheit says the school's nursing staff works diligently with parents to get their child up to date.

Getting the necessary shots needed for school can be a financial burden that some families aren't always able to bear. Fairview Clinics doesn't require proof of insurance or that the child be a patient of the clinic.

The program goes until September 15. You can call the Fairview Clinic in Pine City at 320-629-6721 to schedule an immunization appointment.
