Mora Demolishes Fairview Elementary School

The Fairview Elementary School in Mora began last week.

The school sat empty for a year due to an addition made to the Trailview Elementary School on the north side of Mora.

Superintendent Craig Schultz said, "We added onto the elementary on the north side of town and that square footage in the Fairview building was no longer needed."

Alliance Construction from Superior Wis. won the bid to demolish the school. They were given access to the building last Tuesday, Sept. 4 and have until Oct. 19 to finish the project.

The Mora school board sold the property to Kwik Trip. The building, tanks, and any equipment that the school district has on the property will be removed.
