The Pine City City Council is delaying the repair of a handful of streets in Pine City until next year.
Their reason behind the delay is that the bids to do the work was too high. Mayor Carl Peterson said, "What the council is planning to do is hold off until the spring because those resources we have allocated for that will stay there."
When spring 2019 rolls around, the city will go out for bid again with the hopes of finding better pricing for Pine City.
Mayor Pederson also explained that in 2019 the city will also have a line item for $100,000 which will be added to the to the resources the city has already gathered.
