A critic of Isanti Mayor George Wimmer decided to make their voice heard in a rather festive way.
Mayor Wimmer posted a photo of a pumpkin with the phrase “'F' Wimmer” painted on it to social media.
The pumpkin was discovered in his yard Wednesday morning. After the he made the discovery, Mayor Wimmer reported it to the police.
Mayor Wimmer is one of four individuals currently running for the Mayor of Isanti.
In his post to Facebook, he wrote, “We can't let campaigns degrade into lies, rumors and hate. Every campaign cycle there unfortunately are individuals who do these bad things but it is up to us to stay positive and focused on all the good.”
