A two-car collision in Mora shutdown a section of street in front of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for several hours on Thursday, March 14.
According to the Kanabec County Sheriff, a Toyota sedan was traveling eastbound on Forrest Avenue East when the vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a Ford SUV head-on.
The driver of the Toyota was declared dead at the scene. Initial information from the crash is suggesting that the driver died while driving and their car continued forward striking the SUV.
The cause of the driver's death is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
