A driver has been arrested after they drove their car into a ditch near Finlayson.
Authorities responded to the incident last Saturday, April 13. Pine County Sheriff Jeff Nelson told WCMP that the stakes were raised for responders when they learned the vehicle almost completely submerged.
"People obviously got there in a hurry because that changes the scenario... when it [the car] starts filling up with water," said Sheriff Nelson.
In a Facebook post, the Finlayson Fire Department said, "Luckily there were no injuries, but it did present a challenge for our firefighters, rescue personnel and Pine County deputies."
The driver was arrested for DWI.
