The Pine County recycling sheds located in Pine City and Rock Creek will be discontinued this coming Thursday, September 19.
The sheds were retired so the county can open its new South Pine Recycling Center and Transfer Station near the I35 exit on Henriette Rd.
The staffed facility will open the following Tuesday, September 24. It will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. During the compost season, the center will also be open on Wednesday's from 3 to 7 p.m.
The South Pine Recycling Center and Transfer Station is located at 17350 Henriette Rd.
