Teachers from the Willow River and Moose Lake School Districts are in the running for the 2022 Teacher of the Year.
Third-grade teacher Julie Hebb of Willow River and Moose Lake elementary teacher Brad Hubred were nominated along with 75 others from all over the state.
An independent panel of leaders in the fields of education, business, government, nonprofit, and philanthropy will read candidates’ portfolios over the next few weeks and narrow the list to a group of semifinalists.
In March, the panel will convene again and review additional materials from the semifinalists to choose a group of finalists.
The 58th Teacher of the Year will be declared in May during their annual banquet in St. Paul.
