Tuesday’s primary election and candidate filing deadline crystalized some city contests for November’s general election.
Pine City mayor Kent Bombard will be joined by Sheldon Gallmeier, Corbin Peters, and Nathan Rynders on November’s ballot.
Dan Swanson, Mollie Davis, Terry Neitzel, and incumbent Kyle Palmer will compete for two open seats on the city council.
In Isanti’s municipal primary, incumbents George Hemen and Steve Lundeen were voted to compete with Zach Launderville and Taylor Lundeen for two upcoming city council vacancies.
Isanti mayor Jimmy Gordon also defeated Brian Johnson with about 66% of the vote to represent the Republican party in the race for the state representative seat in District 28A.
Braham will retain its status quo, with incumbents Jeremy Kunshier and Seth Zeltinger as the only candidates filing for two city council seats, and mayor Nate George going unopposed.
In Ogilvie, mayor Mark Nilson also faces no opposition for re-election. Same goes for mayor Alan Johnson in Rock Creek, and David Dillan in Milaca.
