Residents of the Hinckley Finlayson School district are now able to file for candidacy to run for the school board.
Four board members are up for election this year, and affidavits for candidacy can be picked up from the district office at 201 Main Street East, Hinckley, MN.
It costs $2 to file. To run, you must be an eligible voter that's at least 21-years-old. Candidates must not be convicted of an offense that would require them to register as a predatory offender under Minnesota Statutes 243.166. School board terms are four years long.
The deadline to file is August 10 at 5:00 pm.
The election will be held on Tuesday, November 2.
