Chisago Lakes High School Closed Following Social Media Threat

On October 28, 2022 at 5:49 A.M. the Lakes Area Police Department received a report from a concerned parent of a Chisago Lakes High School Student of a possible threat at the Chisago Lakes High School involving the use of a firearm.

Chisago Lakes School District officials were contacted and out of an abundance of caution, ultimately made the decision to close the High School for the day on 10-28- 22. There were no other threats associated with any other Chisago Lakes School District schools.

Though the investigation is ongoing, there has been no credible information to connect the alleged social media poster directly to Chisago Lakes High School.

Other assisting agencies include the Chisago County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota Fusion Center.
