An Eagan woman has been charged with one count each of first-degree drug sales and possession after an I-35 collision in Pine County on July 2.
According to the criminal complaint, a Pine County deputy was dispatched to a reported two-vehicle collision near Beroun around 7:15 p.m.
The complainant said her vehicle had been rear-ended while driving northbound near mile marker 175.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified as Tawny Yos, said she was driving from St. Paul to Hinckley to visit with a friend. Her vehicle went into the ditch after struggling to change lanes and rear-ending a Ford Explorer.
A review of her driving record showed that her license was revoked, and that she had a sign-and-release warrant out of Ramsey County.
When conducting an inventory search of Yos' vehicle, the deputy located a backpack with a digital scale that contained methamphetamine residue. The backpack also contained multiple plastic bags containing the same substance.
Other drug containers and paraphernalia were also found in the vehicle.
Yos admitted to having three pounds of methamphetamine in her backpack.
She was also charged with misdemeanor counts of driving after revocation of a license, and without proof of insurance.
