A fatal one-vehicle crash left a driver dead in Burnett County on Wednesday.
According to a press release from the Burnett County Sheriff's Office, dispatch received a call about a one-vehicle crash near the intersection of County Road C and Devils Lake
Road in the Town of Oakland at about 2 p.m.
When law enforcement arrived, a vehicle was observed to have rolled and come to rest on the passenger side. A male was partially ejected from the vehicle.
The press release states that it appears the vehicle was travelling eastbound on Devils Lake Road and failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to roll.
The lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was identified as 38-year-old Brandon Peer of Webster, Wisconsin.
The Siren Police Department, North Ambulance, Webster Fire Department, and Burnett County Medical Examiner's Office assisted at the scene.
This case is still under investigation and no further details will be released at this
time.
