A Finlayson man was arrested and charged with a felony count of making terroristic threats last week after reportedly acting like a pirate and threatening patrons at a bar.
According to the criminal complaint, a Pine County Sheriff's Office deputy responded to a Finlayson bar on the report that an intoxicated patron was refusing to leave on June 10.
An employee stated that the patron, identified as Jason Jenema, came to the bar in pirate attire, including a long black cape/trench coat, pirate hat, and a small toy flintlock gun.
He was asked to leave after making other patrons uncomfortable and getting into verbal confrontations.
Jenema had an active arrest warrant and was on probation with a condition of no possession of alcohol or controlled substances.
He reportedly left the bar and came back with a sword after allegedly telling other patrons he was going to return and kill people.
Jenema showed an employee an uncased shotgun and rifle in his car, and said he would "shoot up the place."
Law enforcement instructed employees to lock the bar, and encountered Jenema holding the sword outside. He complied with authorities and put the sword down before being arrested.
A preliminary breath test at the jail resulted in a 0.26 BAC. Two rifles were located in Jenema's vehicle.
He'll make his next court appearance on June 17.
