A Forest Lake man is in custody after he reportedly forced his way into a Chisago County residence Tuesday.
According to the Lakes Area Police, officers responded to a report of an unknown person banging on the windows and doors of the residence just after midnight. While the family was on the phone with the dispatch, the shirtless suspect was reported to have forced his way inside.
Officers and Chisago County Deputies entered the residence to evacuate the family, who had barricaded themselves in a bedroom.
A Chisago County K9 was used after the suspect refused to leave the home. He was ultimately arrested and booked into the Chisago County Jail for first-degree burglary, pending formal charges.
