Isanti County rollover crash results in death of Cambridge woman

A rollover crash in Isanti County resulted in the death of a Cambridge woman on Saturday night.

According to a press release from the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office, a single-vehicle rollover was reported at about 10:30 p.m. in Springvale Township, near the intersection of County Road 6 Northwest and Blackfoot Street Northwest.

Deputies found a female at the scene who didn’t have a pulse and was not breathing. Life-saving measures were attempted by deputies and Dalbo Fire, but ultimately failed.

The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office identified her as 34-year-old Lily Wilson, of Cambridge.

The male driver was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say the vehicle was traveling eastbound on County Road 6 before going in the northside ditch and rolling multiple times.

The driver is in custody at the Isanti County Jail and was charged with criminal vehicular homicide and third-degree DWI.

The sheriff’s office and Minnesota State Patrol are investigating the incident.
