One is facing charges after allegedly stealing earrings from Mueller’s Jewelry in Chisago City last Thursday.
According to the Lakes Area Police, officers were called to the business at 2:16 p.m. with the report of a man stealing an entire card of diamond studded earrings.
Police said that employees of Mueller’s chased the suspect across Highway 8 until he fled west in his vehicle. One employee was reportedly able to get to a vehicle and tried to keep up with the car; however, they lost sight after it passed Lofton Avenue.
The suspect was later identified as Traivon Fitzpatrick.
Law Enforcement later stopped him on Highway 8 near Pioneer Road, where he was arrested for the theft and the missing earrings were recovered.
The earrings have an estimated value between $15,000 and $20,000 in total.
