Writer's picture: WCMPWCMP

The Mora school referendum has passed.

Yes: 2,040

No: 1,435

Over 3,000 residents cast a ballot for the election held on May 12, with a majority of the votes reported being made absentee rather than at the polling place.

The nearly $62 million bond will go toward the construction of a new high school building on the Trailview campus.

Work on the new building is not scheduled to begin until June of 2021, and classes aren't expected to be held in the new high school until 2023.
