Motor vehicle collides with horse-drawn buggy in Pine County

A motor vehicle collided with an Amish horse-drawn buggy in Pine County on Thursday.

According to a news release from the Pine County Sheriff's Office, a motor vehicle accident was reported in the 27000 block of Hinckley Road.

Deputies arriving on scene found that the vehicle and buggy collided.

According to the sheriff's office, two of the six occupants of the buggy sustained life-threatening injuries.

Two children, two and four years old, were transported to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis.

The driver of the motor vehicle was not injured in the crash.

The Mille Lacs Tribal Police, Minnesota State Patrol, Essentia Ambulance, Pine City Fire Department, and North Memorial Air Care assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
