From the Chisago County Sheriff's Office:
On April 14th, 2023 at approximately 11:00 PM, Chisago County Emergency Communications received a call regarding an overdue motorist. The caller provided an area of interest in Rushseba Township. Deputies responded to the area and began searching based on information known at the time.
The following morning, deputies continued checking the area. At approximately 12:20 PM, Chisago County Emergency Communications received a call reporting that an individual believed they had located a vehicle submerged underwater in Rock Creek, near the intersection of 540th St / Ivy Ave.
Deputies responded to the location and called for additional resources. The vehicle was removed from the water and the overdue motorist, an adult male / the sole occupant, was located inside deceased.
The Midwest Medical Examiners' Office was called to the scene and the investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time. The identity of the deceased will be confirmed through the Medical Examiner.
