A 29-year-old is in custody after a reported assault of a staff member of the Minnesota Sex Offender Program in Moose Lake.
According to a release from the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement was called Monday around 1:23 p.m. with the report of a client assault on a staff member.
The victim was described as a 53-year-old man. He was reportedly transported from the scene by air ambulance.
The suspect was taken to the Carlton County Jail, where he is being held on second and fourth-degree assault charges.
The incident is under investigation by the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
