Pine City Approves Bids for Mill and Overlay Projects

The Pine City Council approved bids for its 2023 Mill and Overlay projects during a meeting last week.

The city rebid this project earlier this year after original bids came back over what the city had budgeted.

In June, Pine City residents, who live along 14th Street and 4th Ave, petitioned the city to have work done this year, claiming the road's deterioration was affecting their safety and causing damage to their vehicles.

On August 2, the council awarded the work to Knife River Corporation out of Sauk Rapids for a total bid of just over $552,500.13.

Approximately $201,500 of the bid is for the work on Clark and Johnson Streets, while $351,000 is for the 4th Avenue SW and 14th Street SW portion of the project.
