The Pine City Beyond the Yellow Ribbon's Giving Tree celebrated its sixth year this week.
The program assisted in restarting the group in 2018 to provide active military families stationed out of the Pine City Armory with extra holiday cheer at Christmas time.
The organization provided gifts to 28 families with 59 children this year. Along with the gifts, the Land O' Lakes ERG donated a $35 Walmart gift card to each family.
"We love to give back to those that give so much to us," BYR Community Liason Jada Osterdyk told WCMP. "Our community really comes together to help us pull this off every year."
