The Pine City Council will review a site plan for a proposed Dairy Queen development at Wednesday’s meeting.
On May 28, the planning commission unanimously approved the site plan for the restaurant, which would be located on vacant property at the intersection of Hillside Avenue Southwest and Evergreen Square Southwest.
According to an SEH review of the site plan, access is proposed off Evergreen Square SW.
The proposed location would have a 1010 Hillside Avenue SW address, according to the Public Works department, and would be 3,481 square feet and include a drive-through.
According to the request for council action, fire chief Tom Miller said the plan complies with city fire department standards.
A "subsequent review" would be conducted once a building permit application is submitted.
The planning commission also discussed the need for a traffic impact study due to concerns at the Evergreen Square intersection, as a way to determine the "cumulative effects" of multiple new developments.
