The City of Pine City is looking for nominations for the annual Citizen Planner and Most Improved Business/Site Improvement awards.
These awards are given annually to recognize citizens and business owners who have made a distinguished contribution to planning, or an effort to enhance the overall appearance of their property.
The Planning Commission receives nominations and makes a recommendation to the City Council. Nominations must represent projects, issues, or people in Pine City. The work must represent an ongoing program/project or have been completed within 2-4 years of the award. Current members of the Planning Commission, EDA, HRA and City Council are not eligible. Improved sites must be within the corporate limits of the City of Pine City.
Properties/projects must be visible from a public street, have a certificate of occupancy and be in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Submissions must have the consent of the owner. Public projects are not eligible. Projects or persons who have won in the previous two years are not eligible. Self-nominations are welcome.
