The Pine County board of commissioners interviewed three candidates for the auditor-treasurer position at a special meeting on Sept. 25.
The candidates were Mary Jensen, who currently works as office manager at Tri Tech Dispensing, Inc.; Brent Jones, a management/program analyst with the IRS; and Ashley Rauschnot, who is the deputy clerk/treasurer for Rock Creek.
According to county administrator Kelly Schroeder, the commissioners identified Jensen as the top candidate for the position, and directed human resources to conduct reference checks.
Schroeder said county staff will recommend hiring Jensen at Tuesday’s meeting, with a starting date of Oct. 27.
The board tapped Schroeder, who still currently serves as auditor-treasurer, for the county administrator position after David Minke announced his resignation, effective Sept. 8.
